JACK DANIEL'S MOBILE AR EXPERIENCE
I led the creative and visual design, directed and also created art and graphic content-creation of this mobile augmented reality (AR), point-of-sale app, working closely with the development team at Tactic in SF, CA, and with artists Danny Pak and David Chambers.
Referred to as ‘living AR labels,’ these interactive animated 2.5/3D experiences provide a uniquely entertaining way to tell the client company’s story and promote their products.
The experience is divided into three unique parts, each designed with the look and feel of hand-crafted paper-craft pop-up dioramas, and integrate real-time, environmental lighting and textures. The first experience transforms the front label of the bottle into a miniature version of the Jack Daniel's Distillery. The second walks step by step through the process of making Jack Daniel’s Tennessee Whiskey, and the third shares stories of the man himself, Jack Daniel.
